The Municipality met again with various entities linked to port, commercial, and fishing activities to discuss measures to improve the operating conditions of the city's port.
On the table were:
- The creation of a continuous dredging solution;
- Analysis of different forms of management and financing;
- The objective, which involves ensuring greater safety and better navigability conditions.
The need for intervention in the port's access channel has been a constant concern due to its impact on the local economy, maritime activity, and port operations in the region.
During the meeting, the representatives present highlighted the strategic importance of the port for the economic development of Figueira da Foz and advocated for a sustainable long-term response.
The Municipality guarantees that it will continue to monitor the process together with the other entities involved, seeking to ensure better conditions for the future of the port infrastructure.
