The electricity bill is a headache for many families, but there are ways to save some money. One of them is by monitoring energy consumption, warns the Poupa Energia portal, revealing that “installing smart meters” can help lower the bill.
“These measuring devices” allow you to “know exactly” how you use energy, as well as “identify household appliances (or other equipment) where” you can “save energy by using them better”.
Another piece of advice is to monitor your consumption history and make comparisons with similar periods or daily, weekly or monthly analyses. This way you can see if you're consuming more efficiently.
For example, with one of these monitoring devices installed in your home, you can save 48 euros a year on an annual bill of 1,200 euros.
“Most of the solutions on the market do not need to be installed by a professional, they are made up of non-intrusive measuring equipment and can easily be installed by any user, as long as they comply with safety regulations and follow the installation manuals.”
