The Most Beautiful Race in Portugal takes place on June 15, promoted by the Figueira da Foz City Council, with technical organization by PorAkaso - Eventos Desportivos.
The start takes place at 9.30 a.m. on Quiaios Beach and the finish is next to the Clock Tower, along the “Enforca Cães” road, with a privileged view of the Atlantic Ocean on one side and the Serra da Boa Viagem on the other.
The race has a 10 km course officially certified and homologated by World Athletics. As such, the race is part of the World Athletics calendar and guarantees official points for international rankings, ensuring full recognition for federated and amateur athletes.
Carlos Lopes is the godfather of this year´s edition. Winner of the first Portuguese Olympic gold medal in the marathon at the 1984 Olympic Games in Los Angeles, he is a true reference in world athletics.
On this day there will also be a 10km walk.
